Un reino para los que tienen las manos vacias

9 Dijo también Jesús esta parábola a unos que confiaban en sí mismos como justos, y despreciaban a los demás: 10 «Dos hombres subieron al templo a orar; uno era fariseo y el otro recaudador de impuestos. 11 El fariseo puesto en pie, orabapara sí de esta manera: “Dios, te doy gracias porque no soy como los demás hombres: estafadores, injustos, adúlteros; ni aun como este recaudador de impuestos. 12 Yo ayunodos veces por semana; doy el diezmo de todo lo que gano”. 13 Pero el recaudador de impuestos, de piey a cierta distancia, no quería ni siquiera alzar los ojos al cielo, sino que se golpeaba el pecho, diciendo: “Dios, ten piedad demí, pecador”.

14 »Les digo que este descendió a su casa justificado pero aquel no; porque todo el que se engrandece será humillado, pero el que se humilla será engrandecido ».

Jesús y los niños

15 Y traían a Jesús aun a los niños muy pequeños para que los tocara. Al ver esto los discípulos, los reprendían. 16 Pero Jesús, llamándolos a su lado, dijo: «Dejen que los niños vengan a Mí, y no se lo impidan, porque de los que son como estoses el reino de Dios. 17 En verdad les digo, que el que no recibe el reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará en él».

Idea Principal: El reino pertenece a los que tienen las manos vacías, no a los impresionantes.

1. Dos hombres en oración: Confianza en uno mismo vs. Misericordia (Lucas 18:9-14)

La confianza en uno mismo reemplaza la dependencia de Dios con la confianza en el rendimiento.
Los currículos religiosos convierten la oración en comparación en lugar de comunión.
La misericordia se recibe solo cuando se renuncia a la autojustificación.

2. Dos posturas hacia Jesús: Acceso y Dependencia (Lucas 18:15-17)

El reino se recibe, no se logra.
Jesús recibe a los débiles y dependientes porque el reino pertenece a quienes no pueden ganárselo.
El reino no se alcanza con la fuerza, sino con la confianza de un niño.

Conclusión / Aplicación:

Louisville no necesita más opiniones; necesita manos vacías. Acérquense a Jesús con necesidad, no con ruido, con honestidad, no con exageraciones. Porque el reino pertenece a los que tienen las manos vacías.

La Cena del Señor

El Señor Jesús, la noche en que fue entregado, tomó pan, y después de dar gracias, lo partió y dijo: «Esto es Mi cuerpo que es para ustedes; hagan esto en memoria de Mí». De la misma manera tomó también la copa después de haber cenado, diciendo: «Esta copa es el nuevo pacto en Mi sangre; hagan esto cuantas veces la beban en memoria de Mí». Porque todas las veces que coman este pan y beban esta copa, proclaman la muerte del Señor hasta que Él venga.

Esta cena esta reservada para los seguidores de Jesucristo que han sido bautizados en agua. Si no te has arrepentido de tus pecados y puesto tu fé en Jesús te pedimos que no participes en esta cena.
Si tienes pecado del cual no te has arrepentido y estas en una temporada de rebelión en contra de Dios te pedimos que no tomes la Santa Cena sin ponerte a cuentas con Dios.
Si hoy quieres aprender ¿qué es el evangelio? ¿y cómo seguir a Jesús? queremos ayudarte a tomar los siguientes pasos en tu caminar de fé. Después del servicio puedes acercarte a un pastor en la sala de hospitalidad para hablar más de Jesús.
Hay estaciones alrededor del santuario para tomar la cena y una estación sin gluten esta disponible enfrente a la derecha del santuario.
